Your Responsibilities

The role as a SQA Engineer includes that you:

• Manage supplier non-conformance, work with suppliers to investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, analyze data and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Investigate supplier quality and delivery issues to identify opportunities for improvement
• Communicate with supplier regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continuous improvement in working relationships
• Lead the charge back process with suppliers and coordinate sorting and rework actions
• Act as key contact between production quality and suppliers
• Support and drive development of internal suppliers related processes, create guidelines and tools
• Plan of incoming inspection control plans in SAP
• Escalate negative supplier quality performance to Global SQA
• Use and support the data system to collect and evaluate supplier quality related key performance indicators (KPI´s) and issue periodical quality performance reports

Our Expectations

We are looking for you who have a degree in electrical, mechanical or any other industrial engineering/technical field. You have 2-3 years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Supplier Quality Management. You have a knowledge of various quality tools and methodologies: 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, APQP, PPAP, Continuous Improvement & Lean manufacturing. You have the ability to read drawings, knowledge of SAP as well as quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, TQM and a strong command of MS Office. Internal auditor of ISO will be an advantage.

To succeed as a SQA Engineer we believe that you have good problem solving skills. Your Responsibilities

Rollen som SQE innebär bland annat att du kommer: 

• Hantera leverantörsavvikelser, arbeta med leverantörer för att undersöka kvalitetsproblem, fastställa grundorsaker, analysera data och säkerställa implementering av korrigerande och förebyggande åtgärder
• Undersöka leverantörskvalitet och leveransfrågor för att identifiera möjligheter till förbättringar
• Hålla en kontinuerlig dialog med leverantörer för att lösa problem och främja en miljö där man kan fortsätta att förbättra arbetsrelationerna.
• Leda återbetalningsprocessen med leverantörer och samordna åtgärder inom  sortering- och omarbetning
• Agera som nyckelkontakt mellan produktionskvalitet och leverantörer
• Stödja och driva utveckling av interna leverantörsrelaterade processer, skapa riktlinjer och verktyg
• Planera för inkommande inspektionskontroller inom SAP

Your Responsibilities

The role includes that you:

• Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing, helping to ensure delivery of highest quality to the customer
• Develop quality control plans for the respective areas
• Lead trouble shooting and root cause analysis activities in relation to non-conformities and quality issues for internal deviations and make sure that the actions (corrective and preventive) are implemented and closed
• Facilitate and coach staff members/teams in the application of problem solving techniques and promote its use and development
• Develop and maintain internal quality system, procedures, work instructions and workmanship standards, support development of production documentation
• Train colleagues in quality methods and tools
• Perform manufacturing process audits
• Initiate and lead product/process improvement efforts (example: reduction of scrap, rework)

We would like to see that you have 2-3 years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing. We think you have knowledge of various quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement & Lean manufacturing. We believe you have Project management skills and a successful track record of leading quality improvement/six sigma projects in manufacturing.

As Suppliers Quality Assurance Engineer at DeLaval, your main responsibilities will be to: Assess new and existing suppliers by performing suppliers’ quality evaluation and suppliers process audits
Drive corrective actions from audit findings and reported claims and drives completion of tasks
Analyze supplier process data to assist in solving complex quality problems
Developing and supporting the implementation of quality requirements at suppliers
Support new parts and new products introduction by working closely with suppliers and ensuring compliance to process
Facilitate resolution of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of product specifications and tolerances
Monitor the supplier’s performance indicators, communicate expectations and take actions with suppliers in order to meet targets
Coach suppliers in the deployment of quality tools and processes
Taking active part in building suppliers development tools and processes within DeLaval
Work closely with appropriate Sourcing Manager and Project Sourcing Manager to manage overall supplier performance
 
The position is based at DeLaval’s headquarters in Tumba, Sweden and reports to SQA Manager based in Wroclaw, Poland, and will be part of the Global Quality Team. This role contains several monthly travel days to suppliers or other DeLaval locations. While traveling it’s necessary to go by car to the suppliers and therefor driving license is a requirement.


Is this you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree in engineering or equivalent. You have solid experience within Supplier Quality Assurance, 3-5 years of appropriate professional background is required. Desirable if your background is within an international industrial company working with metal or electrical commodities and experience in performing external suppliers’ audits and driving improvements with suppliers.  Moreover, you have profound knowledge of methods and Quality and Assurance “toolbox” (i.e APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8 D and more) in combination with experience of ISO Standards. In addition to this it is a plus if you have experience with Six Sigma and having Black or Green Belt. To be successful in the role, you have strong engineering analysis skills and good knowledge of statistical analysis, methodology and tools.
Strong oral, written and presentation skills in English are required.
