Our client is a leading global supplier of products and solutions for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling through their key products – heat exchangers, separators, pumps and valves. They currently play a vital role in areas that are crucial for society, such as energy optimization, environmental protection and food production.
About the job
With this position you will become a part of the global Automation Development team, which is responsible for the development of advanced control systems and IoT solutions for all our clients core products.
You will research and develop innovative Data Science and Machine Learning strategies for challenging problems that will affect Alfa Laval's products connecting actual machines to data.
You will collaborate with broader teams across Alfa Laval to implement Machine Learning solutions. You will be responsible to deliver Machine Learning technologies that are aligned with the needs of customers of Alfa Laval, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation.

You have an interest in research and experience with crafting, prototyping, and delivering solutions. You want to contribute to a vibrant workspace where knowledge sharing, delivering as a team and face-to-face interaction are vital components.
You will provide technical mentorship and guidance to both your colleagues and our stakeholders. You are self-motivated, an excellent problem solver, and a fast learner.
You are quick to forge relationships and are comfortable with change and ambiguity. You are a curious team player with an interest in brainstorming, gathering and sharing ideas & data and breaking new ground.
Requirements
- At least MSc in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field,
- Extensive knowledge of Python or several years of programming experience in similar language to Python
- Knowledge of Matlab
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, optimization and other algorithms as well as Machine Learning
- Experience in some common Machine Learning & visualization tools such as SciKit-Learn, Pandas, Numpy, dash, PowerBI
- Capable of working independent but also working in an fast moving agile team
- Passionate about research and finding creative and effective ways to solve problems
